It's not uncommon for clients we've designed a website for to later on want to update, change or add additional information on your WIX website. This can be simply changing a banner or something more complex like adding a new employee profile.
We would like to show you how to do small changes on your website so that you will be able to make those additions/changes on your own!
1. Change the banner on your website:
Your banner is usually made from using a full-width stripe or a column stripe. It typically is at the top of your page but the same formatted element can also be placed at any section of your website. Changing those elements will be the same way you change your banner.
Click on the current banner > select : Change Slide Background > click image: you can either upload a photo from your computer or if you don’t have any photos, select: "Media from WIX" (you will find different options of good quality for your website) > click on the photo you want and then click > change background.
2. Modify or change the text
Double click on the text you want to modify > a window will appear on the right side, if you are looking to make changes to the size, font, etc you can do it on this window. If you want to change the text, simply delete all the text and paste the new one inside the box.
3. Add a video
If you would like to add a video, click on the + on the left side bar, if your video is on Youtube select> single video players then add the one that says Youtube.
If you are uploading a video from your computer select > WIX video and select the one you like to add > click on it and drag it to the area you want to place it. Click > change video to upload the one you want to have on your website and voilà!
4. Link a page to your website
Click on the text of the image you want to link, click on the link icon and select where do you want to link it, you can select the option of opening on the current window or new window and click done.
